Redskins Rookie Calls His Teammates “Dim Wits”

The life of a rookie is particularly tough. Especially in football. And if you’re not expected to compete for major playing time, then you just might end up with a lot of extra time on your hands. With that extra time, you should practice hard, improve your game…and keep your mouth shut.
But in today’s society, everyone has a Twitter account. That means conversations that would traditionally take place over the phone are now taking place in cyberspace. And Robert Henson seemed to be a little peeved at Redskins fans for booing their home team. On Sunday, the Redskins barely beat the St. Louis Rams, a team that only won 2 games last season, by the score of 9-7.
Here are Henson’s words from his Twitter account:
“All you fake half hearted Skins fan can .. I won’t go there but I dislike you very strongly, don’t come to Fed Ex to boo dim wits!!”
Then, the rookie linebacker continued his Tweet by writing:
“No I didn’t play but I still made more than you in a year and you’d [gladly] switch spots with me in a second … The question is who are you to say you know what’s best for the team and you work 9 to 5 at Mcdonalds [sic]. You don’t wanna follow me anymore then fine but we play for you and win lose or draw we represent you!! My guy on the Rams said they never got booed even when they didn’t win a game.”

The Rams and Redskins had a close battle on Sunday.
Now I’m going to argue that Henson, a TCU product, certainly knows the importance of punctuation.
If Henson would have said “…don’t come to Fed Ex to boo, dim wits!!” that would have clearly told us that he was referring to the fans as dim wits.
But he wrote “…don’t come to Fed Ex to boo dim wits”, making “dim wits” become the object being booed. And that object, in this case, was the Redskins.
And perhaps Henson has outsmarted everyone…even his own organization. Skins’ defensive end Phillip Daniels says:
“I kind of shook my head right away, because I knew it was bad, and of course he knows that now. He’s young, and sometimes you say things you don’t mean. You’re arguing with a person on [Twitter], and you don’t realize that everybody can see what you’re saying, and then things get bad. . . . Robert’s young. He ain’t played yet. He’s got to realize that the fans actually pay your salary.”
Jim Zorn’s comments:
“Robert is a young player learning to handle his emotions during and after the game,” Zorn said in a statement released by the Redskins. “When he gets a chance to play, I want him to have this level of emotion on the field, not off the field.”
So, now we really know why the Redskins can’t make it to the playoffs. Rookie third-string linebackers who don’t play are smarter than the Redskins that play the most.
Looks like the “dim wits” will continue to be booed.

Is it Hanson or Henson and what the heck is his first name? I guess it doesn't matter he probably won't play this year or next. And soon enough he will be in the stands rooting for his "dim wits" and bagging groceries at his new job at Food Lion.
