The media did a dangerous thing.

It relaxed and forgot about Brett Favre.

Reports have broken that the 40-year-old will be delivering a press conference on Wednesday. 

And yes, he’s coming back for another season.

A tweet from ESPN’s Rachel Nichols said:

At the Vikings complex – K Ryan Longwell tells me of the trip to see Favre: “We simply went down there to get an answer and after talking for a while, his answer was yes. He loves the guys in the locker room and is doing it for all of us.”

Favre likes to have us hanging on to his every move.  And this time, it took a few Vikings players – namely Steve Hutchinson, Jared Allen and Longwell – to fly down to Mississippi and meet with him.  During the meeting, there were feelings of mutual agreement that they should all give a Super Bowl title one more shot.

We’re pretty sure that the taste in Favre’s mouth after the ending to last season mde it easier to come to this decision.

But Brett would have never let us know that.  That would have let the cat out of the bag way too early for Favre.
