Who Was That Kissing at the Lakers’ Game?

Dustin Hoffman is a regular at Los Angeles professional sporting events.

When I heard about this one, I gotta admit…it caught me off guard.

The Staples Center is known for its cameo appearances by A-list celebrities.  And they all like to get some camera love, which truly acknowledges that they are part of the elite.

But how do you explain this?

In case you actually care – that’s Jason Bateman and Dustin Hoffman (both actors are happily married…to women) heating up the Jumbotron.

The photos show the surrounding members of the audience all staring up – as if they were well aware that the kiss was happening and were waiting for it.  Thus, I’m somewhat confidence that this was staged.

According to his Wikipedia entry, Bateman is noted as a huge Los Angeles Dodgers fan:

Bateman is a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers and wore Dodgers clothing in the 2008 film Hancock.  Keith Olbermann stated on the May 14, 2009 episode of the MSNBC show Countdown with Keith Olbermann that he and Bateman are friends, and occasionally attend baseball games and drink lemonade in New York with mutual friend David Cross.

Lemonade?  That must be some really tasty lemonade.

There have also been numerous Hoffman sightings at Dodger Stadium.  So, why haven’t there been Jumbotron moments with Manny at the bat?

This proves, without question, that people in L.A. live their lives differently than the rest of us mere mortals.  When was that last time that you kissed your boy on the lips sheerly for entertainment purposes?  Or drank lemonade without eating some sort of meal to wash it down?

Never?  That’s what I thought.
