Pistons @ Cavaliers – Game 2

Despite a late comeback attempt by Detroit, the Cavs were in total control of this game.  As a matter of fact, LeBron (along with most of his starting buddies) was on the sidelines chillin’ for the majority of the 3rd and 4th quarters.

Things are looking up in Cleveland.

Things are looking up in Cleveland.

The Pistons look like a very weak team.  They aren’t scary like they used to be.  I think they greatly regret trading Chauncey Billups for Allen Iverson.  But I’m sure the Nuggets are loving life.
Oh, and they have Kwame Brown on their team.  So, that pretty much made them losers from the start.  This’ll be a 4-game sweep by the Cavs.
Houston @ Portland – Game 2

It’s a close battle at the moment, a tie ballgame as we go into the 4th quarter.
This Portland team is good, and they are going to be great.  But the Rockets are better than them at the moment, and it is showing by the way they are composing themselves in Portland.
Portland needs to loosen up if they want to stand a chance in this series.  Houston is the slow-it-down and grind-it-out team, and they do that very well.  The Blazers needs to use that youth (Aldridge, Roy, Outlaw) to get up and down the floor – perhaps forcing the Rockets into some uncharacteristic turnovers.
Jazz @ Lakers – Game 2
Aren't we all ready to see this matchup in the 2009 NBA Finals??

This is the matchup that we are all ready to see in the 2009 NBA Finals.

The Lakers are ’only’ leading by 11 at press time, but they have led by 15-20 already.  They have the luxury of begin able to play two talented 7-footers in the lineup together – make that three if you throw in Lamar Odom, who’s 6’10″.

The Jazz do not look like a team that is prepared, which seems to go against Jerry Sloan’s nature.  Their defense looks very shoddy – the Lakers already have 5 (soon-to-be 6) players in double figures.  Although this game is still in progress, it’s pretty much over.  As is the series…wouldn’t you agree?
