Two of tonight’s games have to make you wonder how do players sleep at night when their team loses by a crazy amount of points – in a playoff game, nevertheless…
Celtics 107, Bulls 86
This was just ridiculous. How a young team gets beat so badly at home by an aging, injured group…I just can’t explain this one. It’s almost like the Bulls were feeling the pressure. Maybe they felt like they had to take advantage of coming back to Chicago with a somewhat unexpected series tied at 1-1. Whatever the case, they certainly stunk it up tonight – contrary to my prediction (see “Monday Night Action” post).
Spurs 67, Mavericks 88

Timmy is gonna have to come out swingin' in Game 4.
During the postgame interview, Gregg Poppovich threw the statsheets off of the podium. I’m surprised he didn’t burn them.
67 points was indeed a franchise playoff low for the Spurs, who were dominated in every statistical category during their 21 point loss in Game 3. Former MVP Tim Duncan had 4 – that’s right – 4 points and 2 rebounds in only 15 minutes of action. That tells you how quickly this thing got out of hand.
Tony Parker is tired from carrying the load more than he ever has, and Tim Duncan is just plain slowing down. The Spurs desperately need a third person to step up. Without Manu Ginobili, they are a lot less dynamic – but are even more predicatble than they already were (if that’s possible). I’m very interested in seeing how the Spurs respond to this shellacking…
