While he has certainly played many years in the L, I was sad to hear that Dikembe Mutombo hung up his size 22′s…particularly considering the circumstances that forced him to do so.

Anyway, I found this clip that basically sums up the desire, determination and drive of a man who used his physical gifts to benefit others less fortunate than him.  He illustrates to us all that the most fitting measure of greatness is not through the eyes of sports anaylsts, but through the eyes of those in dire situations.
