All-Caucasian Basketball League?

Contrary to Dom Lewis' opinion, Tony Parker and Tim Duncan are well versed in the fundamentals of the sport of basketball.
Dom Lewis is hoping to bring segregation back into the sporting world.
Lewis is the commissioner of the AABA – the All-American Basketball Alliance. The Alliance issued a press release on Sunday, stating that its looking at starting his inaugural season this summer. The AABA is hoping to establish teams in 12 different cities.
Now if you’re not familiar with the AABA, there’s a good chance that you might not ever be. The league is being constructed to only recruit players who are of Caucasian pedigree. Here’s some information from Lewis regarding the motivation behind the creation of their league and the flaws of the NBA:
“It has come to the attention of the principals of the (All-American Basketball Alliance) that white basketball players are essentially ‘shut out’ of conventional professional basketball due to the proliferation of non-organized play on the court. With players on other professional teams carrying guns, attacking fans in the stands, and going through the motions of playing the game, fundamentally sound white players are a vanishing species.”
This first paragraph basically calls the NBA a bunch of savage monkeys. How can anyone get away with making this type of statement to the press?
“Fans have spoken to the AABA asking to restore on court sanity to the game of basketball. Their pleas are our mission. Only players that are natural born United States citizens with both parents of Caucasian race are eligible to play in the league.”
“It’s because of the fact that natural athleticism of people of color is different. They can make up for their shortfall in fundamentals with their natural athleticism. And coaches look for the quickest way to win, so they go for natural athleticism instead of the fundamentals from a white player. Is it a coaching problem? To a certain degree, but a lot of it is the culture.

David Lee is one of the most athletic power forwards in the NBA.
I guess Dom doesn’t believe that Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade – the best players in the NBA – are fundamentally sound. The truth is that these guys execute the fundamentals better than everyone else. Since the basics are so much easier for them, they have the decided advantage of being able to think one step ahead of their competition.
“I know there’s bad apples of every color, but like my wife says, let the numbers speak for themselves. Turn on the local TV news and who do you see on there? Facts are facts. Now, imagine the safety and quality of play at games where there’s none of that. Anyone can be a star.”
Really Dom? I didn’t realize that I was putting my well-being in jeopardy by going to an NBA game. Boy, those NBA arenas are practically hundred-dollar seats in the hood. Whatever.
There are many questions about that come to mind regarding this league proposal. What cities are going to allow themselves to be associated with this flawed thinking? What decent caliber players would actually play for this league? How will any of the teams within this organization grab the support of the community?
Despite the declarations by Lewis, the motivation behind the AABA (African-Americans Banished Again) is not positive – but it’s exclusive nature makes it inherently negative.
There aren’t many things that I wish failure upon, however, this is certainly one of them.
